About The Welsh Cycle Show

The Welsh Cycle Show, a festival of cycling and sporting activities to be held at various locations throughout Carmarthenshire over the weekend 27th to 29th June 2020.

The Show commences with a closed road, Town centre series of races within the historic town of Carmarthen. The circuit navigates around the medieval castle walls with cobbled paved areas with a short dash onto the quay for a race alongside the river Towy before a significant climb up Castle Hill. The circuit is demanding and spectacular with fantastic viewing areas in elevated positions.

Cafes, pubs, shops and trade stands will be open under canvas around the ancient town centre and will create a magical ambiance that will climax in a firework display over the Castle. This will be an evening not to miss and something that the community of Carmarthen have never experienced before.

The evening series of events will start with junior cyclists and move onto seniors with representatives from cycle clubs across the UK. Following the Elite races the course will be opened to allow races for specific categories, these will include a tandem race, a tradesman bike race, a vintage steel bike race and a mountain bike race.

The roads will remain closed to allow those wishing to ride the selection of demo bikes from some of the top UK suppliers including Condor, Trek and Bianchi to do so. This will be a unique opportunity to demo the best bikes in the world.

The trade stands will remain in place for the whole weekend and will be established as the Welsh Cycle Show. Entry to the main hall is £10, however entry will be £5 when purchased at the same time as entry into one of the events.
